Y&R’s Lucas Adams and Wife Shelby Wulfert Expecting First Child

November has been a memorable month for one of The Young and the Restless newest cast member’s, Lucas Adams. Last week, he debuted as the recast Noah Newman, who is at the epicenter of the top-rated soap opera’s LA noir mystery, and is involved with the story and the return of Matt Clark (now played by Roger Howarth).

In addition, now comes word from Lucas and his wife Shelby Wulfert when they publicly announced (with Shelby showing off he baby bump) that they are expecting their first child! Expect the couple’s new little bundle of joy to arrive come February of 2026. Lucas and Shelby have decided to keep the sex of the baby a secret until the newborn arrives.

During an exclusive maternity shoot with PEOPLE, Lucas and Shelby were all smiles as they were so happy to announce the big moment in their relationship complete with Shelby’s sonogram in tow! The duo also shared some pics via their Instagram with Shelby writing, “We could not be more excited about this news.”

Lucas and Shelby tied the knot three years ago in an intimate wedding ceremony in Waxahachie, Texas, after the two had met years prior while both working on the set of Disney’s Liv & Maddie.

“We were friends first,” recalled Wulfert at the time of their nuptials to PEOPLE, “And then after a while, Lucas was so sweet. He was like, ‘I have to tell you that I have a crush on you.’ And then after that I was like, ‘Oh, thank goodness. I do too!’” Speaking on starting a family with Y&R’s newest star, Shelby expressed, “This marks the beginning of starting to really build our family together and what that means for usWe want to have kids in a couple of years so starting to prepare for that next chapter of being parents and the next chapter of the rest of our lives.”

So many of Adams former Days of our Lives castmates, where he played Tripp Dalton from 2017-2019 and from 2o2o-2o24, jumped into the duo’s pregnancy announcement post on Instagram with huge congrats including: Brandon Barash (ex-Stefan and Jake), Paul Telfer (Xander), Martha Madison (Belle), Dan Feurriegel (EJ), Sal Stowers (Lani), Elia Cantu (Jada), Lindsay Arnold (ex-Allie) and more.
