Bill is forced to adopt the baby after Luna dies of a hemorrhage The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers

BB — “Shadow at the Door” (Next Chapter)

The moment Luna wakes, the world around her begins to change.

The hospital’s morning calm was a lie.

A thin veil of serenity stretched over fractures no one wanted to face.
Luna slept at last—her breaths soft, her skin flushed with the fragile color of returning life. Machines blinked steady rhythms. The baby’s heartbeat echoed in the room like a promise, like a threat.

But outside, someone stood watching.

Someone who didn’t belong.

🌑 THE VISITOR

A tall figure lingered near the corner of the corridor, half-hidden beneath the flickering glow of an exit sign. His posture was rigid, almost military. His face partially shadowed. No badge. No ID. Just a stillness too purposeful to ignore.

The night nurse noticed him first.

“Sir? Can I help you?”

He didn’t turn fully.
He didn’t speak.

He merely asked, in a low voice:

“Is she awake yet?”

The nurse’s pulse skipped.
“Who?”

His eyes flicked toward Luna’s door.

“The girl who tried to escape.”

The nurse stiffened—how did he know? Only a handful of staff had access to the incident report.

“Are you family?” she asked cautiously.

A long pause.

Then:

“I’m what she has left.”

Before she could respond, footsteps echoed behind her. Finn. Coming down the hallway with a chart in hand, his expression tightly controlled.

The mysterious figure stepped back into the shadows.

Finn passed without noticing him.

But the stranger watched the doctor like a man committing every detail to memory.

🌫️ BILL SPENCER FEELS THE SHIFT

Bill had left the hospital only long enough to shower and change. He returned before sunrise, restless, unsettled by a sense he couldn’t name. As he stepped off the elevator, he slowed.

Something felt wrong.

The air had weight. The corridor looked the same, but something was off. His instincts—the same ones that built empires and survived betrayals—prickled like a warning.

He looked toward Luna’s door. The blinds were half-drawn.

And then he saw it.

A small indentation on the chair next to her door. Fresh. As if someone had been sitting there. Watching.

Waiting.

Bill frowned, scanning the hall. Nothing. No one. Just stale hospital air and the faint hum of a vending machine.

But the feeling didn’t leave.
If anything, it grew.

🌕 LUNA WAKES TO A WHISPER

Inside her room, Luna’s eyelids fluttered.
Light filtered through the blinds in soft lines. Her throat was dry, her muscles aching from the near-fatal ordeal.

She wasn’t alone.

Someone sat in the chair beside her bed.

She blinked slowly, forcing her vision to adjust.

A shape.
A silhouette.
A presence that made her breath catch.

“Will…?” she whispered.

The answer was a quiet laugh—soft, intimate, chilling.

“Not quite.”

Her vision sharpened at last.

And her entire body went cold.

“You,” she breathed.

He leaned forward, his face now visible.
Eyes dark.
Expression taut with something between pain and purpose.

“Did you really think you could run from the people who loved you?”

Her pulse spiked.
Fear and recognition collided.

“You shouldn’t be here,” she whispered.

He tilted his head.

“I told you I’d come for you if things went wrong. You remember that, don’t you?”

Luna swallowed hard.

She remembered.

She remembered everything.

🔥 FINN RETURNS — AND THE CHAIR IS EMPTY

When Finn walked back into the room minutes later, Luna jolted upright, eyes wide, breath ragged.

He froze.

“What happened?”

She stared at him, pale as death.

“There was someone here.”

Finn glanced at the empty corner.
“No one came in.”

Her voice trembled.

“He said he would come for me if something went wrong. He found me. Here.”

Finn’s blood ran cold.

“Who?” he asked quietly.

Luna’s answer was barely a whisper.

“The man who helped me escape.”

Finn stepped back as if struck.

Bill, overhearing from the doorway, felt his entire world tilt.

🔥 THE REALIZATION

If the man who orchestrated Luna’s escape had infiltrated University Hospital…

He wasn’t just an accomplice.

He was a threat.

A very real one.

A skilled one.

A dangerous one.

And he had unfinished business.

With Luna.

With Bill.

With the baby.

With everyone.

Bill’s face hardened.

Finn’s jaw clenched.

Luna trembled.

And somewhere down the hall, unseen, the stranger watched them all with chilling calm.
