Remember when Chad and Belle were matched on the dating app on Days of our Lives? The sneak peek photos for the May 20 episode reveal they are finally going on that date. In true soap fashion, the date gets interrupted by the last people they want to see together: Cat and EJ.

There are several sneak peek photos for DAYS that focus on Chad (Conner Floyd) and Belle’s (Martha Madison) first date. Chad appears happy in one photo with a bit of a grin on his face.
However, another photo shows him looking intently at Belle. Perhaps that photo has something to do with EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) walking through Horton Town Square as Belle and Chad are on their date.
It’s easy to see in those photos that the tension is thick, and we can’t even see the look on EJ’s or Cat’s faces. Belle and Chad, though, are not amused at all. The history and unresolved feelings between this foursome are a lot, and it’s about to get a whole lot more complicated.
Despite his promise to his son, Chad can’t shake his feelings for Cat, and the feeling is mutual. Belle and EJ’s relationship ended after EJ’s stunt at Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) trial, but we aren’t convinced the feelings they had for each other are gone.

Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) knows that as an ISA agent, her task is to help Rafe (Galen Gering) discover EJ’s illegal activities. And while resurrecting someone using a newly developed drug bends some rules, it doesn’t qualify as illegal enough to arrest him. But it’s what he wants to do with the Versivix now that they’ve achieved initial success that could do him in.
Lexie (Nikki Crawford) has returned to the land of the living, and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) has visions of selling the Versivix concoction on the black market. If Cat’s questions aren’t personal about their time in Italy, she could try digging more into the future of EJ’s miracle drug. Or maybe her questions involve any other subjects he plans on resurrecting. EJ is a DiMera, after all.
The Fallout of Sophia’s Disappearance
Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) took it especially hard when Jada (Elia Cantu) told her and her husband that their search for Sophia (Rachel Boyd) has changed from rescue to recovery. Amy was understandablly in denial. But on Wednesday, she must finally accept it, because Amy is in mourning.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Choi’s laying much of the blame for Sophia’s death on Holly’s shoulders. Both Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Ari (Vico Escorcia) are struggling to process losing someone they were friends with, who turned into a foe. Holly especially said something nasty things about Sophia on social media before she died. Needless to say, Holly and Ari will continue to grapple with difficult feelings.
Gabi Makes an Offer, Will Liam Refuse?
In other Ari news, she and her mother ecently had a conversation where Ari let Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) know that she wanted to make her own mistakes. But there’s a chance that Gabi either didn’t listen or she has selective amnesia, because she’s about to make Liam an offer. Hopefully, for her sake, Gabi isn’t trying to pay him off to forget he ever knew Ari. Because she will have to prepare herself for the painful fallout if that ever happened.
Belle and Chad Finally Have Their Dinner Date
When Chad and Belle (Martha Madison) initially made contact on that dating app, Chad looked a lot like Billy Flynn. Fast forward a few weeks, and Chad (who now looks like Conner Floyd) and Belle finally have their long-awaited dinner date. It’s a long time to wait to see if the sparks are there.
But Belle took a break from dating after her relationship with EJ imploded. And she’s still smarting from Shawn’s refusal to let her take care of him after he was shot. Meanwhile, Chad’s burgeoning situationship with Cat fell apart and now a custody agreement states he won’t start a relationship with the woman who pretended to be Abigail (Marci Miller).
