Bold and the Beautiful gives Eric Forester super agitated to start this new chapter of his career and his life designing at Logan. But let’s be clear: this move is going to be a huge poke right in Ridge Forester’s face when it all comes out.
We’re going to talk about how Eric taking the job as Katie Logan’s lead developer is going to come off as a huge betrayal to Ridge, and of course also to Brooke Logan.
Eric Forrester officially joins Logan as lead developer on Bold and the Beautiful
Now, we knew this was coming.
I’ve been saying for more than 6 weeks now that Eric would be the lead developer at the new fashion house, and now it’s sanctioned.
Katie madly embraced having Eric as her first-ever lead developer at Logan. Eric has been encouraging Katie ever since he heard she was launching Logan.
He has no problem that she took the trademark, and he thinks that Ridge and Brooke are just worried that they let it lapse. But everybody has been very clear to say that they do not use that name at Forrester Creations for any ingrained apparel, just to be clear.
So at first, of course, Eric was just going to tutor Katie and advise her on how to start up a fashion house, because he’s been there. He’s done that… and he designed the t-shirt.
But now Eric was telling Katie that he wants to help her launch her line, and he wants to be her lead developer.
Is Eric’s career move a betrayal of Ridge on BNB? He said he’d have sketches in her office soon. We know he’s got a whole line formerly designed sitting in his sketchbook.
Eric said that Ridge will get over it. When Katie talked about his son being worried, Eric conceded:
“Yeah, Ridge will be upset at first, but he’ll get past it.”
Eric insists also that this is anti-treason. He said he’s a free agent since Ridge put him out at Forrester.
Principally, Eric called it mutually salutary — and this is wild. He said Brooke and Ridge can and conceivably exposulate to this, but Katie knows better than that.
I honestly suppose Eric doesn’t care. He wants to be a lead developer again, and he’s thrilled to be officially out of withdrawal.
I don’t suppose at the end of the day he cares what Ridge thinks. This is what Eric wants and it’s his life.
The growing rift between the Logan and Forrester families
Katie is formerly planning to use her PR chops to make it clear that there’s no rift between the Logan and Forrester families… except for the fact that there’s about to be one that’s getting bigger by the day.
Eric insists that this is all going to be thrilling for him to help Katie get Logan up and running. But Eric also made it clear that this isn’t a long-term commitment.
It’s short-term. He’s going to do the first collection and we’ll see how it goes.
But let’s be real: even if Katie had Eric as her lead developer for just one day, Ridge and Brooke’s heads would explode.
So short term, long term — it does matter. I’m absolutely here for the drama.
On one hand, I suppose Ridge brought this on himself. But on the wise side, Eric working for Katie is enough of a poke in Ridge’s face.
So why is Eric really doing this?
First and foremost, I suppose what’s behind this is Ridge and that forced withdrawal trick. Ridge Forrester’s discourteousness and the Santa suit incident on BNB.
Eric has been nice about it, all effects considered, but Ridge was being really high-handed by deciding it for Eric.
I mean, come on. That lame party that Ridge threw to spring Eric’s withdrawal on him out of the blue was just a fronting.
Ridge insists he wants what’s stylish for his per, but I suppose Teddy Tetridge’s conduct speaks louder than his words.
He’s doing affronting things in the way he treats Eric, but also he’s saying nice things.
The discourteousness was still on display at Christmas when Ridge refused to look at the design that Eric made. It was the Santa suit, but Ridge was dismissive to his father.
It didn’t count what Eric designed. Ridge wasn’t going to look at it.
So even though Eric has been chill about Ridge’s sketchy trick with that withdrawal party, I suppose deep down it bothers him.
This is a little bit of vengeance: to say you do and value me, but that doesn’t mean I do and have value to others.
A history of deception and abusing authority at Forrester Creations
Another thing is Eric might be ready to be Ridge’s competition because of old cuts — like Brooke and Bill Spencer stuff in Katie’s mind. There’s stuff there too.
Ridge was hooking up with Brooke at one point when she was with Eric. Plus, Ridge got fractured kissing Quinn Fuller while she was married to Eric on Bold and the Beautiful.
Also, Ridge provericated after Eric had his stroke. Ridge said he had power of attorney. He lied to everybody. He demurred Quinn out of Forrester Creations and banned her.
Ridge knew that Quinn had the real power of attorney but lied. Later, Eric fired Ridge over it. He installed Quinn as the CEO while he mended because it was Eric’s choice and Eric’s company — but Ridge tried to convert his authority.
Bottom line: Ridge always thinks he knows better than Eric, and he’s been deceptive on numerous occasions. So perhaps Eric has had enough.
Eric defends Katie against naysayers
Another thing is that he doesn’t like the way Brooke and Ridge are naysaying Katie and dissing the fact that she’s starting her own design house.
We know Eric has always been very Logan, and he cares about Katie.
Some people are complaining that Logan is just Forrester 2.0 because Eric is involved now — but come on. Ridge took down Eric’s job, his passion, and his main reason for getting up in the morning… other than pickle balling with Donna Logan.
So yeah, he’s gone to Logan where he’s wanted and where he’s appreciated by Katie.
Another reason is because it’s bringing back the vibe of when he co-founded Forrester Creations with Stephanie Forrester. Doing this with Katie is giving the same energy despite all of Ridge’s cheap shots about how Katie can’t start a fashion house.
Ridge’s lack of entrepreneurial track record
You know, Ridge has no proven track record in that arena, but he’s speaking like he’s in a position of authority about it because he’s done it.
He hasn’t. He didn’t start Forrester. He was handed the keys to it by his parents: Eric and Stephanie.
So for me, Ridge is a lot of talk. All Chapo, no cattle. He’s just keeping going what Eric erected as a successful business.
And last but not least: Eric is a whole grown man. He’s not a toddler. He can decide for himself if he wants to keep working or retire.
When Ridge took his agency, obviously that’s problematic.
This opportunity is a game changer for Eric
A lot of seniors suffer health declines after they retire because they’re not as engaged or mingled. Work gives them meaning and keeps structure in their lives.
So this job with Katie is good for Eric’s health — not bad for it.
Anticipating Ridge and Brooke’s tantrum
Ridge is going to say Katie stole the name Logan. And he’ll claim she conned Eric into working for her.
I can see Ridge trying to condemn Katie and say she manipulated Eric like he doesn’t know his own mind.
I’m not surprised Eric is doing this and starting a new adventure with Katie because Eric was never ready to retire.
Ridge isn’t going to understand where Eric is coming from. I anticipate Ridge to give Eric a lot of pushback — actually a full-blooded hissy, and also from Brooke.
But Eric’s mind is made up, and I do suppose he’s going to stick with that decision.
No matter what Katie says, Brooke and Ridge are going to lose their minds and start trash talking her even more, which will bother Donna — who is going to side with Eric, of course.
Despite Katie’s PR sweats, we do have a big old rift between the Forresters and the Logans.
When Ridge and Brooke act out, it’ll just make Eric more stubborn.
BNB Spoilers: baby fever, rivalries, and explosive drama ahead
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers elude that baby fever could strike BNB. Will Hope Logan Spencer and Liam Spencer get inspired to have another child?
BNB fans know that Daphne Rose and Carter Walton have been agitating family plans. Since Carter and Daphne are eager to have kids, perhaps their baby plans could rub off on another couple.
Daphne and Carter will get busy planning their marriage in the coming weeks. Carter and Daphne are going to get hitched in 2026, so their marriage is locked in and will be a big part of their forthcoming plot.
Once they tie the knot, they’ll revisit their discussion about becoming parents. They may spread the news about their desire to start a family ASAP.
Hope will be glad that Carter has eventually found his person. Carter and Hope’s love didn’t work out, but her heart still belongs to Liam — and maybe always will.
Once Daphne and Carter are trying for a baby, could Liam and Hope find inspiration for their own family expansion? They could at least bandy the possibility of adding another child.
Beth might push for a younger sibling. Hope and Liam have learned to communicate better, so they could list pros and cons. Even if they decide their family is perfect, the discussion could happen.
Hope is also in some ways mama to Douglas, but he’s growing up fast and lives in Paris with Thomas. Liam co-parents Kelly with Steffy and raises Beth with Hope — but there could be room for one more child.
Meanwhile, changes are ahead: Ridge will be wrankled. Will Spencer and RJ Forrester’s contest could erupt.
RJ should be forcefully on team Forrester Creations once he hears about Katie’s name snare and drama. Still, Eric has agreed to help Katie launch her first collection — and it won’t be long until Ridge, Brooke, Steffy, and everyone reacts.
Ridge may be outraged and accuse Eric of being a snake. But Eric will stand his ground and help Katie make a huge splash at Logan.
Dee Sharp should officially sign on at Katie’s fashion house soon and gain Eric as a tutor. Dylan seems poised to settle into a new job at Forrester Creations and cause issues. Electra’s jealousy could flare up if she catches Dylan making eyes at Will.
RJ may develop a crush on Electra. Dylan could use that crush to stir the pot and wedge Electra and Will.
Anyhow, RJ and Will are going to become rivals.
And the drama peaks: Eric’s power move shocks the entire Forrester family
Eric has never been a man who makes small moves, but his latest decision sends shock waves through the entire Forrester family and lands like a brutal poke straight across Ridge’s face.
Because this isn’t just about business — it’s about heritage, control, pride, and a father proving that he’s still very much in charge.
Ridge believed he’d secured his place as the undisputed leader… only to discover Eric was setting the stage for a move that rips that certainty away.
When Eric makes his announcement, it’s clear this isn’t cooperation — it’s a deliberate assertion of dominance that redefines who truly holds the power.
Whispers ripple through the office. Alliances shift. Everyone is forced to pick sides.
Brooke watches with growing concern. Steffy sees it as a direct challenge. Eric remains calm and unapologetic. Ridge doesn’t take being sidelined.
The war is only beginning.
And as power, pride, and heritage collide, nothing walks away unscathed.
