That is exactly why this may be a trap. The real story may not be about Patty carrying Jack’s child at all. It may be about Patty using Jack in a much more twisted way.
That is what makes the pregnancy theory feel weak on its own. Fans are already questioning the age factor, the realism, and even what truly happened in Patty and Jack’s scenes. If the show simply reveals that Patty is pregnant, the reaction could easily be more laughter than suspense. It would feel like writers forcing a miracle instead of building a smart twist. There are several ways the show could take this if it wants maximum drama. Patty could claim she is pregnant and use falsified medical proof to make Jack panic. She could secretly arrange some kind of reproductive plan involving Jack’s stolen DNA. She could even manipulate the situation just enough to make Diane believe that Jack’s life is now permanently linked to Patty. The smartest version of this twist would not need Patty to actually produce a baby right away. It would only need her to create the fear that one could exist.
That is also why this theory feels far more soap-worthy than a standard late-life pregnancy reveal. Daytime dramas thrive on paternity chaos, fake lab results, hidden family ties, stolen evidence, and identity shocks that explode weeks after the setup begins. A natural pregnancy would be the bluntest version of the story. A DNA-based scheme is messier, darker, and much more addictive because it gives the writers room to play with secrets, lies, and betrayal before the full truth comes out.
Diane would be the person hit hardest if this is where the story goes. Even if Patty never carries a child, the mere suggestion that Jack’s DNA was taken and turned into a weapon would be enough to poison Diane’s marriage. She would not just be dealing with betrayal. She would be dealing with the horrifying possibility that Patty has found a way to insert herself into Jack’s life forever. That is the kind of emotional damage Diane may not be able to shake off, no matter how much Jack insists he was manipulated.
Jack himself could become more victim than villain in this scenario, and that is what makes the theory even richer. Instead of turning him into a simple cheater, the show could reveal that he was used, violated, and dragged into a plan he never saw coming. That would make the fallout more tragic and more layered.
