Tamara Braun Joins The Young and the Restless in New Role

Two-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Tamara Braun is adding yet another daytime drama to her already impressive television resume with the news that she is joining the cast of The Young and the Restless.

For the initial report from PEOPLE, Tamara will be taking on a new role, that of Sienna Bacall, who is said to have “personal connections to several characters” in Genoa City. Braun will begin taping all-new episodes of The Young and the Restless after Labor Day, starting next week.

With Y&R’s tape to air schedule, look for Tamara to debut in Genoa City sometime in the fall, most likely in October. Most recently, Braun was seen on your screens on Peacock’s Days of our Lives where she reprised her Emmy-winning role of Ava Vitali.

Tamara first became soap-famous when she became the second Carly Corinthos on General Hospital replacing Sarah Brown in 2001-2005. Next, she headed to DAYS to play Ava Vitali in 2008. Then, she headed to All My Children and played Reese Williams from 2008-2009.

The popular actress returned to DAYS in 2011, now playing the role of Taylor Walker. Several years later, she reprised the role of Ava from 2015-2016, before heading back to General Hospital – this time to take on the role of Kim Nero, which won Braun her second Emmy. She played Kim from 2017-2019. Eventually, she made another return to Days of our Lives as Ava starting in 2020 and was last seen on the series earlier this year.

This marks the second recent former DAYS star and major talent acquisition for the Sony-owned, The Young and the Restless, which comes on the heels of Billy Flynn coming over to play a recast Cane Ashby, while departing his Salem role as Chad DiMera.
