For years, fans enjoyed watching Doug Davidson play Paul Walker on The Young and the Restless. Recently, news has come out that the star is making a return. Fans are already talking about the actor, including a change in his appearance since his time on the show.

Doug Davidson Became One Of On The Young And The Restless‘ Longest-Running Actors

Soap fans likely know Davidson best as Paul Williams on The Young and the Restless. He appeared on the show from 1978 to 2020. At the time, Davidson was one of the show’s longest-serving cast members.

In addition to his work on soaps, Davidson also had an interesting career in game shows. He famously appeared on Family Feud several times as captain for a Young and the Restless-themed team. He also briefly served as the host of The New Price Is Right.

Recently, Davidson has resurfaced and made a comeback to a special event, and fans are already talking about it. In particular, they noticed the star has a whole new look.

According to a fan, Davidson appeared in promotional material for an upcoming fan event for musician and actor Rick Springfield. The photo even named him as an actor for The Young and the Restless.

Davidson is known for supporting Springfield in the past. On October 5, 2023, Springfield shared a photo of himself standing alongside Davidson, writing, “Couldn’t do these fan events without my BFF Doug Davidson. Truly.”

Springfield himself also has a well-known history in soaps. He appeared as Noah Drake on General Hospital.

Taking to social media, fans commented on Davidson’s new appearance. On the soap, Davidson was known for being relatively clean-shaven, but was now sporting a prominent beard.

Davidson has also occasionally shared images of himself on social media. He also shared his beard in an Easter message shared this past April.

Of course, many fans were simply happy to see one of their favorite actors from The Young and the Restless again. In fact, some shared the hope they could soon see him again on the soap. Some comments included:
